Prince Louis could benefit from a royal rule change this week if he joins the Royal Family’s Easter celebrations. On Sunday, members of the Royal Family are set to gather in Windsor to attend an Easter Sunday service, before sitting down together for an Easter Sunday meal at Windsor Castle. Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed whether Prince William and Princess Kate, along with their three children, will join in the celebrations on Sunday. If they do, their youngest Prince Louis could be set to enjoy a special royal rule change.

Under Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, young children at royal dinners would always eat separately from the adults in a nursery dining room. This was believed to be the rule until the children were old enough to eat properly with cutlery and table manners.

However, royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward has said that it is likely King Charles, under his reign, will have changed this rule.

This has not been confirmed by the royals; however, if this is the case, Prince Louis - who is six - may be able to join his older siblings and his parents at the same table for dinner this Easter Sunday if the family choose to attend.

Ms Seward told The Sun: "They (the Royal Family) will all have dinner together but not the young children they will eat in the nursery dining room.

"The Queen always said until they could hold a knife and fork properly they could not eat at the table, but Charles might have relaxed that rule a bit. But dinner is only for grown-ups."

On Sunday, members of the Royal Family are set to enjoy a hearty Easter lunch after they attend church. Talking about what royals can find on the menu on Easter Sunday, Mr McGrady told OK! magazine: "We'd go straight into the main course – a traditional roast lamb with seasonal vegetable.

"They’d also have a compound salad served in a kidney dish attached to the plate – just some lettuce and cucumber with a little mint or some grated carrot and coriander."

According to the former chef, a second course would then be served and would consist of cheese locally supplied from the Windsor Dairy, close to the royal estate, and peaches.

While people may expect a fancy dessert to be on the menu after this second course, the royal chef said it is in fact Easter eggs for pudding, which usually come from Charbonnel et Walker. The day usually finishes with an easter egg hunt.
