It’s a brilliantly plotted, fast-paced novel that peeks behind the curtain of what it means to be a woman in sport.

Over time, she learns to survive in this horrific environment. What the novel brings to life, more than anything, are the everyday horrors endured in these labour camps.

More than this though, the story brings to life, the human side of what it is like grappling with anxiety and also of understanding your own sexuality.
